LARGE STEIFF BEAR. Early pre-WWI teddy from the Steiff Company (no button) with pale gold plush covering, jointed at head, shoulder and hips, long curved arms, hump on back, so-called shoe button eyes, stitched nose, mouth and claws, with original felt paw pads. SIZE: 19-1/2″ h (50cm). CONDITION: Overall retains high degree of original fur, slight loss on back of left upper and lower leg and back. Minor restitching at back of left upper arm. A few minor moth holes in pads, as well as a little loss of fur to the muzzle. 1-10261 (3,000-4,000)
