PAIR OF LOUIS XVI STYLE BRONZE CHENETS. Second half 19th century, France. Each with a classical urn with ram’s head handles, draped garlands and floral-filled cornucopia above the architectural frieze raised on scroll feet together with a pair of foliate scrolling andirons missing dogs. SIZE: Chenets: 16″ h. Andirons: 17″ h. CONDITION: The chenets with traces of original gilding remaining, verdigree discoloration resulting from polish residue, structurally very good. Pair of andirons with verdigree polish residue, surfaces blackened from heat, dogs absent. 9-28808 (800-1,200)
