JAPANESE INLAID BRONZE URN, MEIJI PERIOD. 3rd quarter 19th century. The urn with ring mask handles, the bulbous middle section modeled with battle scenes depicting a godlike immortal warrior mounted on a foo dog, the opposing side with warriors. the scenes inlaid with mixed metals. The whole raised on shaped legs and molded plinth. SIZE: 23-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Very good overall with nice color and patina. No signatures noted. 9-95809 (800-1,200)
