CARVED HORN PIPE CLEANING TOOL. Qianlong Period (1735-1796), Qing Dynasty. The handle of ribbed horn, fitted to a forged metal shaft terminating in a small bent miniature spoon. This object purportedly used for the cleaning of an opium pipe. SIZE: 6-1/4″ overall; 2-1/4″ carving. CONDITION: Shows considerable wear to handle with various chips.
