WILLIAM FRANKLIN DRAPER (American, 1912-2003) SAILOR’S FAREWELL. Large oil on canvas scene shows a mother with her two children looking out over a coastal scene with a ship convoy leaving the harbor. The daughter clings on to the mother while the son waves to the departing ships. They stand atop a high deck area which has a panoramic view looking across the harbor to the ship’s rounding a point of land with lighthouse. Signed lower right “Wm F Draper 42″. Housed in a good gilt molded wood frame. SIZE: 36″ x 30”. CONDITION: Very good with scattered inpainting. 9-93204 (3,000-4,000)
