TWO EARLY AMERICAN TOY TIN TRAIN SETS. 1) The “Jupiter” train engine with tender marked “IXL” and accompanied by three passenger cars marked “CENTRAL R.R.” and embossed on underside of base “Feb 27th 1883”. 2)Tin locomotive marked “Skip”, the tender is unusual, it has embossed lettering “PRR” and the car and engine as well have raised embossed detailing about the windows. Although the engine is polychromed in red, yellow and black, the tin on the engine cab as well as the tender and passenger car retain a significant amount of their gold washed finish. SIZE: Overall is 33″ l and 15″ l respectively. CONDITION: Overall condition is good to very good with no apparent repairs, repaint and/or replaced parts. 1-13413 (400-600)
