CHINA TRADE BRASS BOUND LEATHER COVERED TRUNK. Mid 19th century. This rectangular camphor example covered in leather, paint decorated with scrolling polychrome floral borders and panels on a blue ground, bound overall with brass strap work and highlighted with an ornate configuration of brass tacks. The case ends fitted with brass carrying handles, the lid fitted with a brass ring. SIZE: 15-1/2″ h x 35″ l x 17-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Retains original painted and stenciled designs on original leather cover. Strap work and studs with minimal restoration. Overall very good with near original surface. 9-96504 (800-1,200)
