THREE BOW-BACK WINDSOR SIDE CHAIRS. Late 18th early 19th century, probably Pennsylvania. The nice examples in simulated bamboo, each with a molded crest rail joined to seven simulated bamboo spindles joined to a generously proportioned shaped shield form seat. Raised on splayed simulated bamboo legs joined by a bulbous H-form stretcher. With remnants of old black paint over earlier blue/green paint. SIZE: 37-1/2″ h (back); 17″ h (seat). PROVENANCE: From a fine Massachusetts home. CONDITION: With fabulous old crusty dry surfaces. Structurally good. Each chair in need of tightening. 9-22119 (800-1,200)
