PAIR OF BLOWN AND ETCHED GLASS HURRICANE SHADES. 19th century. Impressive cylindrical pair of clear glass shades decorated with scrolling floral vinery centering a panel decorated with stylized Oriental pine trees beneath which are domed structures amidst birds in flight centering an arched bridge over water. Opposing panels separated by floral sprays. Each shade with everted rolled base rim. SIZE: 22″ h x 8-1/4″ dia. overall. PROVENANCE: From a New England Institution. CONDITION: Each with minor top rim chips and additionally with small chips along base rim. Otherwise very good. Glass is clear. 9-22392 (1,000-2,000)
