LOT OF TWO SALESMAN SAMPLE GRINDERS. Primitive machinery with wood framework, stone mill wheel and opposing complement stone. Hand crank mechanism with funnel at top and doored receptacle at bottom. Receptacle door has pencil writing on reverse stating “Made by Phillipy – from between Meyerstown and Schaeferstown. This was his own grater for grinding grain.” Second grinder appears to be used as a belt driven blade sharpener. SIZE: 16″ l x 14″ h and 10-1/2″ l x 8-1/2″ h respectively. CONDITION: Larger is very good to excellent. Smaller grinder has crack in wooden hand wheel and minor chips, otherwise generally good. 1-9789 (500-1,000)
