WARREN B. DAVIS (American, 1865-1928) SALMAGUNDI CLUB SIGNED PRESENTATION PRINT. This framed print of a nude woman on hillside (Spirit of Dreams) is pencil inscribed “To Walter Ufer from Samuel T. Shaw Salmagundi Club 1929”. In the bottom white margin “In Memory of Warren B. Davis” under which is signed by approximately fifty different artists in pencil. They include: Walter Ufer, Gordon Grant, Edmund Greacen, J.E. Costigan, Guy Wiggins and many others. An interesting piece of Salmagundi Club history. On the back is a label from De La Pena Books Santa Fe, New Mexico “Presented to Bart Durham April 6, 1981 as a Memento of the Personnel Papers of Walter Ufer, Bought by Steve Good for Rosenstock Arts, Denver, Colorado. Discovered by Bart in the attic of the Rackleys at Sapallo, New Mexico”. Found locally in central Maine. SIGHT SIZE: 22-1/2” x 15-3/4”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-26377 (800-1,200)
