PHILADELPHIA QUEEN ANNE MAHOGANY SIDE CHAIR. Second half 18th century. The serpentine molded crest rail continuing to back swept ears above the vasiform splat joined to a trapezoidal seat frame with slip seat, the serpentine front rail raised on frontal cabriole legs with scrolled returns, the backswept rear legs of mortise and tenon construction, the whole raised on frontal pad feet. SIZE: 39-1/2″ h; 17-1/2″ seat h. CONDITION: Chair has been professionally stripped and repolished with replacements to both rear legs. Seat frame original.
