CHINESE LACQUERED LOW TABLE. 19th century or earlier. The rectangular table fitted with opposing drawers within the frieze raised on square legs centering a shelf, all with box form upper and lower aprons. The whole decorated with scrolling polychrome floral borders and spandrels centering a large roundel decorated with figures in a pastoral landscape. All on a red lacquer ground. SIZE: 18″ h x 37-1/2″ l x 27-1/2″ w. CONDITION: Structurally very good. Lacquer worn off in several areas. Re-coated with clear lacquer to preserve paints and lacquer base. 9-27437 (1,000-1,500)
