NOVELTY MECHANICAL BANK. Manufactured by J & E Stevens. Great looking Victorian bank building. “Novelty Bank” embossed on front door. When door is opened, the teller appears with tray in hand. Coin is put on tray and when door is closed the teller deposits coin in bank. SIZE: 7″ h. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Malcolm Deisenroth, Jr. CONDITION: Bank appears all original with some wear throughout. Highlights on bank and some minor chipping; also the spring that closes the door in the bank is not functioning, possibly missing. 1-9971 (600-900)
