LOUIS PHILLIPE MARBLE AND PATINATED MANTEL CLOCK. Late 19th century. French. The dark green breschia marble stepped and molded base raised on ornate scrolling claw feet housing an enamel dial, paint-decorated with a floral spray behind a beveled glass door with cast-brass bezel, with an eight day French brass movement. The clock surmounted by a patinated metal casting of an allegorical scene of two maidens with up-stretched arms flanking a seated putti holding an hour glass. SIZE: 27-3/4″ h x 14″ w x 9-1/4″ d. CONDITION: With damage to enamel dial and to arms of maidens. Marble case needs reassembly. “Marble not damaged”. 9-20373 (800-1,200)
