LOT OF 9 MECHANICAL CAST IRON BANKS. 1) Tamanny Bank. Boss Tweed, the famed shady politician drops coin in vest with nodding head – 1873. 2) Black Man at Cabin Bank. Green version with trap – 1885. 3) William Tell Mechanical Bank 1880s by J. E. Stevens. Tell shoots apple from son’s head. 4) Aluminum Black Figural Bank in red, white, and black. 5) Monkey Organ Bank by Kyser & Rex (all original parts) 6) “Hall’s Lilliput Bank” by J. E. Stevens 1875. Retains original trap. 7) Artillery Bank 1892 with Trap. 8) Jolly “Nigger” Bank 1882 by Shepard Hardware, N.Y. 9) “Penny Pineapple” – Hawaii 1960. Celebrating 50th State in the Union. SIZE: Largest 8-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Banks show no breaks or chips. Are all working. Paint averages fair to good, with #5 showing very little original paint. 1-13403 (1,200-1,800)
