EMPIRE STYLE THREE PIECE MARBLE AND ORMOLU CLOCK SET. Circa 1900. The enamel floral decorated dial with Arabic numeral chapter ring decorated with floral swags marked beneath the numeral twelve “J.E. CALDWELL & Co.”. The brass eight day time and strike movement marked “JUST” within an incised circle above “MADE IN FRANCE”, #41244.6. The clock, “a Napoleon hat” form, flanked by corbels mounted with cast gilt metal leaf tips, also mounted with floral sprays and ribbon-tied foliate sprays. The clock is accompanied by a matching pair of urns with cast gilt metal handles and conforming cast metal sprays. All three on a stepped plinth raised on cast-metal bun feet. SIZE: clock: 10″h. x 15″l. urn: 7-1/2h. CONDITION: Offered with key and original pendulum, the movement appears untouched, the dial very good. The rear plinth of clock missing a tablet size piece of marble. One urn missing cast metal bowtied spray (see photo) Otherwise very good. 9-20085 (500-800)
