EARLY FELT POLICEMAN, POSSIBLY BY STEIFF. A fine early felt policeman reminiscent of the German Toy Manufacturing firm Steiff. Although there is no ear button the quality is excellent and certainly Steiff-like. Many other firms during this early time period emulated Steiff and oftentimes it is difficult to determine the true manufacturer. Typical oversized feet, felt clothing, elongated torso, jointed arms and legs, this fellow has a lot of appeal. SIZE: 18″ (46cm). CONDITION: Overall good condition with minor moth holes & discoloration. 1-11625 (500-800)
