FINE CARVED JADE MIRROR WITH CASE. Chinese, 19th century. Rare example, the jade back carved with peaches fitted with a jade ring handle mounted to a conforming oval beveled mirror plate with silver mount. Fitted into its original silk box with pivoting lid embroidered with shou symbols, fitted to a custom rosewood stand. SIZE: Box: 2-1/4″ h x 6″ l x 5-1/2″ w. Mirror: 1-1/4″ h x 5-1/4″ l x 4-3/4″ w. Stand: 1/2″ h x 6-1/4″ l x 5-3/4″ w. CONDITION: Mirror plate with extensive loss to silver backing and with overall foxing. Jade very good with nice patina. Box with overall deterioration to silk.
