FINE ORIENTAL SHAPED CHINESE HARDWOOD FERN STAND. Second half 19th century. The square top with floral carved apron and in curved beaded edges; the corners canted, centering a conforming pink marble insert. the conforming frieze pierce-carved with flower heads and with gadrooned edges raised on four shaped legs headed by, and carved with, bird heads. Joined to a medial shelf terminating in bold claw feet. The table ebonized. SIZE: h. 32” x 21-1/2” sq. CONDITION: The ebonized surfaces dried and with losses to paint. Structurally very good. 9-20376 (600-900)
