CARETTE LIMOUSINE.

CARETTE LIMOUSINE. One of the largest cars that Carette manufactured, this limousine has its original headlamps, side lamps, roof rack and hand-painted driver. It is seldom found with all of these original parts. Has glass windshield, brake on left side, and lever on right side of car to put it in forward or reverse. Also has opening back doors. Because of all these fine features, Carette was considered one of the leading manufacturers of toy cars in the early part of the 20th century. Car is lithographed in green with black roof and fenders, with cream-colored wheels and red spokes. SIZE: 16″ l. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Malcolm Deisenroth, Jr. CONDITION: Very good to near excellent, with some minor chipping on wheels and some light scratches and minor oxidation. Back plate is missing on one headlamp; one door handle missing. Overall, a very nice car. 1-10059 (4,500-6,500)
