FIVE CENT O.D. JENNINGS CIG-A-ROLLA GAMBLING MACHINE. Just another attempt by the producers of slot machines to navigate the anti-gambling laws of the time period. This large floor model slot machine let gamblers play as usual but instead of cash payouts, they received packages of cigarettes and/or the equivalent trade of their winnings. A much more complicated mechanism and cabinet than the normal slot machine, this device has a variety of different cigarettes the player can choose. Produced originally in the late 30s, this floor model Jennings machine is in basically fabulous all original condition. Mechanism is in working order, however vending mechanism is sluggish/sticky and in need of some minor lubrication and attention. A really neat gambling device and a fine addition to ones collection. SIZE: 60″ x 22″ d x 18″ w. CONDITION: Overall very fine original. One cigarette lever not resetting. Instruction cards on top front casting is replaced with mirrors. Back door is a replacement. 1-9560 (1,500-2,500)
