TUNBRIDGE AND MARQUETRY INLAID JEWELRY BOX. Late 19th century. The rectangular cabinet inlaid with marquetry panels of exotic birds in fruit-filled branches within Tunbridge borders, the front sloping. The hinged top joined to the front panel raised and opening to an interior fitted with four jewelry trays, velvet and silk lined, each with bird’s eye maple front above the Tunbridge inlaid plinth. SIZE: 8-3/4″ h x 13-1/2″ l x 9″ d. CONDITION: Repolished and restored with bright vibrant colors. Very good overall. 9-29631 (1,500-2,500)
