GEORGE BROWN CLOCKWORK VELOCIPEDE. Patented February 1, 1870. Cloth dressed boy pedals velocipede forward, swaying side to side via clockwork mechanism. Brass hands and boots. Tin cover to rear mechanism shows gold stenciled patent date. Cast spoked wheels. Head and shoulder area of boy is made out of papier mache like material with detailed hand painting. SIZE: 11″ l. CONDITION: Eye are appears correct and original, however flesh tone to face has been touched up. All original clothing has overall soiling. All clockwork actions working. 1-13367 (450-650)
