EMILE ALBERT GRUPPE (American, 1896-1978) TWIN SCHOONERS. Small oil on canvasboard Gloucester Harbor scene shows two green hulled two-mast schooners moored side by side with accompanying skiff. A small dock with house is seen to the right casting shadows on the first schooner. Buildings and hillside are seen beyond under a white cloud and blue sky, the clouds having a pink hue. Signed lower right. Housed in a good replacement gilt carved wood frame with gilt liner. SIZE: 12″ x 9″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-94405 (6,000-9,000)
