DOOLING FIRST SERIES TETHER CAR. Front-wheel drive gas powered tether car with cast aluminum grill resembling a Miller race car. Removable aluminum hood has hand-painted “Mercury” marking. Also marked “53” at tail. Dashboard and steering wheel are later wooden fabrications. Rear tail section is lacquer over wood with riveted aluminum side body panels. Engine is by “Dennymite” (untested). Tires are marked “Dooling Brothers Los Angeles CAL.” SIZE: 19″ l. CONDITION: Cockpit and seating area workmanship is somewhat crude. Overall toy displays very good to near excellent with some minor crazing to lacquer. 1-12984 (1,500-2,500)
