AMERICAN TIN CLOCKWORK TOY OF MAN WITH RAM. Although most collectors think of American tin toys as usually manufactured during the 1880s-1890s sometimes production was carried over into the 20th century. This particular toy features a simplified wheel base with typical early hand painted figure and the ram itself is actually finely lithographed but correct and appropriate for this toy. SIZE: 9″ l. CONDITION: Overall condition is good with heavy paint loss to man’s trousers. Both figures have had amateur aged resoldering to tin base. 1-13354 (350-650) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Fall 2013 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price. The prices noted here after the auction are considered unofficial and do not become official until after the 46th day. |
