TWO CLOSED MOUTH GERMAN BISQUE SHOULDER HEAD DOLLS. 1) Slightly larger has fixed brown paperweight eyes with head turned slightly to the right and is incised “7” on the back of the head. She is on a German leather body with gussets at the hips and knees with leather upper arms and bisque forearms. Recostumed in a heavy mauve silk dress with lace overlay and trimmed in black velvet. 2) Slightly smaller doll is incised “5” on back of shoulder and has fixed blue glass eyes, pierced ears and is also on a German leather body with gussets at hips and knees with bisque forearms. She is elaborately recostumed in a pale green silk dress with pleated skirt and burgundy silk and lace trim and matching hat. SIZE: 14-1/2″ (37cm) and 13-1/2″ (34cm) respectively. CONDITION: Overall both are very good. Smaller doll has chipped right thumb. 1-12088 (400-600)
