FOLK ART CARVING OF LADY IN GREEN DRESS. Late 19th century, American. Carved from the solid with articulated arms fashioned with long straight brown hair, her arms joined at the shoulders and positioned for carrying an object. Wearing a long sleeve green dress cinched at the waist, barefoot on a wooden plinth. SIZE: 18-1/2″ h. CONDITION: With original painted surfaces, the arms reattached, the proper right forearm and hand a later addition, the proper left foot also a later addition. Proper left forearm shaped and drilled for positioning of carried item (now absent). Rear of head with check mark. 9-97217 (600-900)
