TWO GERMAN CHINA HEAD DOLLS. 1) Larger is a “Covered Wagon” type circa 1860 with short corkscrew curls covering ears and extending to the neckline on muslin body with china limbs and printed stockings and leather sewn-on shoes. Body is not new but definitely not as old as the doll head. 2) Blond hair china head with molded and painted snood with green raised headband going across top of head. She is on an older body with porcelain limbs (one foot repaired). She wears antique red quilted dress and long black pleated satin skirt. SIZE: 28″ (71cm) and 14″ (36cm) respectively.
