FINE WHIMSICAL AMERICAN FOLK ART SEATED FOX. Early 20th century. This paint decorated red fox carved from the solid in a seated position looking skyward, its tail wrapped around a rectangular plinth. SIZE: 27-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Very good original condition with good patina and color. There are minor chips and roughness to the ends and edges of ears. Additional roughness and paint loss to end of snout. Proper right front corner of plinth with chip. 9-96758 (500-1,000)
