FINE “FLATTENED” FULL BODY COPPER GILT ROOSTER WEATHERVANE. Mid 19th century. Rare example attributed to A.E. Jewell & Co., Waltham, Massachusetts. Featuring a punched out eye, arched tail and accentuated comb. The body joined and fashioned with heavy zinc joints and mounted on a sheet tin flat bar. This folk art rendition with old gilt surfaces. Weathervane is being offered with a museum stand. SIZE: Vane: 24″ h x 18″ l. CONDITION: Untouched with no structural damages.
