LARGE BULBOUS MOORCROFT VASE. Circa 1941, England. Overall with deep indigo glaze with a midband of peonies. Beneath the base is the incised mark “MADE IN ENGLAND”, the ink stamped signature “W Moorcroft” above the incised mark “POTTER TO / HM THE QUEEN”. In addition is an underglaze blue signature, indecipherable, and what appears to be the date “1941”. SIZE: 13″ h. CONDITION: Very good overall with deep rich colors. Slight craquelure within the floral petals. 9-99585 (1,000-1,500)
