OUTSTANDING ROOKWOOD VELLUM PLAQUE BY EDWARD TIMOTHY HURLEY. The blue toned plaque showing a mountain peak beyond the lake surrounded by evergreens. The foreground with a stand of white birches. The lake reflects the shadows of the trees under a dark blue to light blue sky. Inscribed initials lower right “E T H”. Housed in its original white painted and blue highlighted wood frame. Marked with the Rookwood impressed stamp “XLII” (1942). Hurley worked at Rookwood from 1896-1948. SIZE: 11-3/4″ x 8-3/4″. Sight: 11-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-20338 (6,000-9,000)
