FRAMED AUTOGRAPH: CHARLES LINDBERGH; AVIATOR (American, 1902-1974). Outstanding collage incorporating two rare and superb signed photographs and other memorabilia. The first is 14″ x 11″ light sepia-tone head and shoulders portrait (by Acme News Pictures) of the young aviator wearing his tools of the trade: leather flight jacket, helmet and goggles hanging around his neck. Signed in bold black ink “Charles A. Lindbergh”. PROVENANCE: Profiles in History, No. 68, Catalog 34. Originally from the Estate of Aviation Secretary William P. MacCracken. Another superb signed photograph is 7″ x 9″ by Underwood signed “C.A. Lindbergh” showing the aviator standing beside his plane “Spirit of St. Louis”. Also an unsigned photograph of a half portrait, two Lindbergh Congressional Medal copies, three First Day Issue envelope covers, and a TWA Flight 800 Commemorative Flight with pilot signature.
