LOT OF 7 CLYDE BEATTY CIRCUS POSTERS. 1) “Captain Astronaut. The Human Projectile”. Size: Approximately 27-3/4″ w X 21″ h. Condition: Colors are bright. Generally very good condition with only teeny loss on the border. 2) Brave lion tamer with numerous ferocious lions and tigers all around. Size: Approximately 28” w x 21” h. Condition: An angular 8” tear that appears to have been reinforced on the back with tape running through the “R” in circus. The bottom appears to have had a paper panel for location added which is now removed. 3) Bright circus poster by Roland Butler with a charging rhinoceros. Size: 28” w x approximately 21” h. Condition: Some soil and discoloration scattered on the poster in various areas and at one time a paper panel with location was attached at the bottom but now removed. A small surface loss and hole in the region of the globe. 4) Bright poster with a beautiful female elephant trainer and elephant. Size: Approximately 20-3/4″ w x 28” h. Condition: It appears there was a paper panel for the location on the lower end of the poster which is now removed. Bright colors. Generally good. 5) Bright poster with tiger, elephant, and female trainer. Size: Approximately 21” w x 28” h. Condition: There was a paper location panel attached to the lower portion at one time, now removed. Otherwise appears generally very good with bright colors. 6) Circus poster with a menagerie of big cats having a paper panel with location attached for Winslow, Maine. Size: Approximately 28” w x 29-1/2″ h. Condition: Some light toning on either side. Otherwise generally good. 7) Duplicate of the number 2 poster with the lion tamer. This one having a location panel at the bottom for Waterville, Maine. Size: 28-1/2″ w x 29-1/2″ h. Condition: Some soiling in the upper right hand corner or border. Teeny loss along the border.
