IMPORTANT WILLIAM AND MARY YEW AND ELM THREE-DRAWER CHEST. Last quarter 17th century, English. This nice country example of small proportions, the rectangular top with molded edges above a conforming case fitted with three molded long drawers with molded fielded panels of raised coffered design. The base with applied molding raised on straight legs as a continuation of the balusters. SIZE: 33-3/4″ h x 38-1/4″ w (case) x 20-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Very good overall structural integrity. Brasses old if not original. With minor old insect damage and with old repairs in top, proper right rear of case, and also a patch on original backboard.
