TWO BLACK TRANSFER-PRINTED, ENAMEL-DECORATED AND MOTTLED PINK LUSTRE JUGS. Mid 19th century. The first titled “Young Cottagers” beneath the spout, one side decorated with ship, opposing side with verse titled “Forget & Forgive”. The second titled “Sailors’ Farewell” beneath the spout, one side decorated with a view of the “Cast Iron Bridge at Sunderland”, opposing side with verse titled “The Sailors Tear”. SIZE: First: 6-3/4″ h. Second: 7-1/4″ h. CONDITION: Each with varying degrees of old damage including rim chips and spider hairlines. 9-21766 (400-800)
