EXCEPTIONAL AND RARE CARETTE SEARCHLIGHT BOAT.

EXCEPTIONAL AND RARE CARETTE SEARCHLIGHT BOAT. A unique and rare form, on the bow of the boat is a raised pedestal with a large electrified searchlight. There is a pair of levers directly behind the searchlight platform which when positioned properly would have engaged the searchlight, but also driven the motor. Removing the cabin reveals a large oval well, which would have held the battery (not included). There is no effective way to get to the electric motor as the decking was soldered into place prior to painting this toy. A very rare form with only a few known examples to exist today. Toy appears to be completely untouched, all original condition overall. The boat is in as found, untouched condition and perhaps a light cleaning and dusting of the deck would further enhance the strong appeal of this rare toy. SIZE: 17″ l.
