ELIZABETHAN REVIVAL CARVED OAK ARMCHAIR. Second half 19th century. The rectangular back with foliate carved armorial crest above the panel back carved in the form of a crusader positioned within drapery flanked by S-scrolled foliate wings joined to the out-curved arms with scrolled grips raised on baluster-turned supports centering the triangular plank seat raised on frontal spiral twist legs, the rear legs backswept joined by carved side stretchers. SIZE: Back: 49″ h. Seat: 19″ h. Width: 24-1/2″. CONDITION: Very good with original surfaces, frame in need of tightening. 9-29741 (300-500)
