5 CLYDE BEATTY-COLE BROTHERS CIRCUS POSTERS. 1) Cole Brothers Big Railroad Circus depicts the interior of the lot of the big tent with an extravagant display of animals and performers. Size: approximately 29”w x 16” h. Condition some creases and teeny loss around the border. 2) “The World’s Largest Circus” has a leaping tiger coming toward you. The poster is by Roland Butler. Size: 28” w x 21” h. Condition: One end of the poster apparently had a paper panel attached to it at one time probably with the circus location now removed. Small loss on the edge of the lower left border. 3) Poster with a hippopotamus “Big Otto. The Blood Sweating Hippopotamus from the River Nile” has the paper panel at the lower end with location of circus from Waterville, Maine. Size: 35” h x 20” w. Condition: Generally very good. 4) Beatty-Cole Circus with clown. It has the added paper panel at the bottom with directions and circus location in Waterville, Maine. Size: Approximately 36” h x 21” w. Condition: A couple of small, 2-3” tears at the top of the poster. Otherwise generally good. 5) Beatty- Cole Brothers Poster with Lion Tamer. Retaining its paper panel with circus location at the bottom for Waterville, Maine. Size: 36” h x approximately 21” w. Condition: Some horizontal creases, some water stain on the location panel and a small hole there. A very small loss in the upper corner border. SIZE: As stated.
