PAIR OF HUANGHUALI COMPOUND CABINETS. China, Ming style. Each rectangular cabinet in two parts. The upper section with a pair of cupboard doors opening to a storage interior, fitted to the lower cabinet having a pair of cupboard doors opening to a compartmented storage area, also fitted with small storage lids. Each cabinet with a deep lower frieze above a shaped apron continuing to square brass capped legs. Each cabinet fitted with brass half moon hardware. SIZE: 94-1/2″ h x 43″ w x 19-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: Signed letter of provenance by Mme. Hengyi Aixinjueluo accompanies this lot. CONDITION: All surfaces scrubbed. Structurally very good. 9-24088 (100,000-150,000)
