ENGLISH VICTORIAN INLAID MAHOGANY WHEEL BAROMETER. 3rd quarter, 19th century. The mahogany case with string inlay and with shell & floral inlay paterae beneath a molded broken arch pediment centering an acorn finial. Fitted with silvered temperature gauge fitted with a glass thermometer above a silvered barometric dial. The dial incised with the maker’s name, “L. Boj…” the balance of last name is illegible. SIZE: 38-1/2″h. PROVENANCE: From a Portland, Maine Estate. CONDITION: Very good overall with wear to silvered plates. Glass tubes intact and functional. 9-22412 (800-1,200)
