This fan shaped carved and inlaid box inlaid with various hardstones, soapstone, turquoise and lapis in the form of exotic birds, flowers and rock work. Carved from hardwood, possibly zitan. SIZE: 4-1/2″ h x 14″ l x 7-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of the grand-niece of the last Emperor Puyi of the Qing Dynasty and granddaughter of crown Prince Pujun.
