LEHMANN PADDY & PIG WITH OB. A very fine, all original example in vibrant paint and lithography, a classic toy produced by the famed Lehmann company depicting an Irishman riding his blanketed pig. So often during this time period, toys embodied the social and economic climate of the period, casting aspersions on certain nationalities or political figures. The box is present, however, end flaps of lid are missing, and slight paper loss of upper right hand corner of label. SIZE: 5-1/2″ l. CONDITION: Extremely vibrant coloring with only a few paint chips, most notably to white saddle area. Clothing has minor soiling and fading. Mechanism operational. 1-12293 (1,000-1,500)
