THOMAS H. WILLIS (American, 1850-1925) PORTRAIT OF THE SHIP “COLUMBINE”. Silk and oil depiction of the two-mast schooner sailing right to left in a green wavy ocean. The sails are silk with thread lines and needlework and material deck and hull with needlework American flag and pennants. The name emblazoned on the deck house and there are twelve people aboard. Off the bow are some low hills and tall lighthouse. Signed lower right “T Willis 1907″. Housed in its original gesso decorated gilt frame. SIZE: Total: 26″ x 42″. Sight: 19-1/2″ x 35-1/2”.
