RARE SET OF FOUR MING STYLE SQUARE STOOLS. Chinese, 18th/19th century, Ming style. Huanghuali or Hong Mu. Each square stool fitted with a woven mat within the frame. The table with molded edges and an open molded frieze, each side with two vertical elements forming a square box stretcher joined to thick cylindrical legs. SIZE: 21″ h x 19-1/2″ square. PROVENANCE: Signed letter of provenance by Mme. Hengyi Aixinjueluo accompanies this lot. CONDITION: Structurally very good. Surfaces have been scrubbed and cleaned. 9-23973 (75,000-125,000)
