LARGE PANAMA WOODEN RAILROAD SET. By W.S. Reed Toy Company patented July 21, 1877. Floor train with two cars pushes forward with steam like piston action. Engine marked “PANAMA NUMBER 4”. Tip bed trailing cars marked “MEXICAN CENTRAL RAILROAD”. Side boards of cars are also marked “EXCURSION TO CONEY ISLAND”. SIZE: Engine 17″ l, entire train 48″ l. PROVENANCE: The Diane and late Steve Olin collection. CONDITION: Complete and near excellent retaining all original stenciled and stamped graphics. 13271-1 (400-600)
