PAPER ON WOOD STACKING PICTURE BLOCKS. Fabulous J.A. Crandall’s “Mammoth Story Blocks” patented 1881. Stacking this impressive nesting set of eleven blocks shows child the story of “Jenny Wren and Cock Robin”. Beautiful lithographed early colors depicting birds, barnyard animals, and other wildlife all set to a story line via a rhyming poem. These look great stacked next to a period decorated Christmas tree. SIZE: Complete stacking set 42″ t. PROVENANCE: The Diane and late Steve Olin collection. CONDITION: 130 year old complete set remains in remarkable condition. Some edge wear to a few blocks but overall very good to near excellent. 13271-2 (400-600)
