EARLY ROCK & GRANER LIVE STEAM LAUNCH. A fine early German live steam toy, circa late 19th century featuring an open launch with a live steam mechanism located in the center hull. Elaborate bow figurehead accents the center striped, finely decaled section along with the railed walkway and fenced in steam motor area. The hull bottom and decking has a copper finish with a black band at top of left and right sides. Live steam motor itself has a copper wash and black smokestack. Boat is a very rare and desirable model. Seldom do such Rock & Graner boats like this come to market. SIZE: 16-1/2″ l.
